Goodbye Harmatan, Welcome back HEAT!

Real peanut butter :)

Good ol' American food ;)

Our tubs

We got the enjoy some "cooler" weather for about a week, all the dust from Harmatan was in the air so it was not as humid! Yesterday we welcomed back the heat and humidity. ;) We are starting to get settled here, it's really nice to be in the city you will be investing your time in. :) We are starting to get some of our own stuff.... it makes it feel alot more homey when you have your own furniture. I have also met some other girls my age, there is a girl that I have played with a couple of times, she just came here from Burkina Faso.... so she doesn't speak much French eigther. There is also a girl that lives down the street that I went and played soccer with on Saturday, that was fun. So I'm starting to meet some people so maybe I will find a good friend soon.
These next two weeks will be alot of fun! There are two girls here, that are near my age, while their Dad teaches my parents about church planting. Then after two weeks they will return to Mexico. Also in about 2 monthes or so, I will be getting a puppy! :) I'm VERY excited about that! We went to the dog store here, and they had a Yorkie that will be having puppies soon. They are suppose to be born at the end of January (which should be anytime :) then they have to stay with their mom for 2 monthes.

We recieved our six tubs that we sent over here! It's very nice to have REAL peanut butter, poptarts (they go pretty quickly ;), fruit-roll-ups, and all that good stuff :)

Thanks for the prayers,
Autumn

Welcome to Abidjan

Our flooded road...... they say it gets higher in rainy season!
Me and Snowflake

Our house

Hey!

So my parents have been bugging me for not doing a post in such a long time, so I doing a short one now ;) Well as I said we have arrived in Abidjan! It's great, hot, sticky, and GREEN! Thats the four words that describe it... well and one more... lost. We have had a great first few weeks here... we just got started back to French this week, we are back to life ;) I will be so happy when we know it! :)

Things are much different here than in Bamako, have I mentioned it's GREEN??? Haha... I think I have, but it is no understatement.... we have grass that has to be mowed! :) Also it rains here year round.... well not as much in dry season (which is right now and its been raining alot ;) But when it rain our road floods.... as you can see above!

We really enjoy it here in Abidjan... continue to pray for French (it's a huge task!) and for me to find friends.

Miss you all,
Autumn
